Good Morning… I’m at sixes & sevens this am. Actually, I’ve been a good share of this week. Do you have weeks where you feel disordered, not sure which direction to head? I’m still working on a tutorial for putting together a junk journal & adding text in Adobe Reader. Then there’s the Boom! Party Accessories Kit that need to be listed NOW! If I don’t get that listing posted on Etsy, I’ll miss the Fourth entirely! How embarrassing. Summers are crazy like that when my space is not my own for 8 hours a day.
A fun illustration with a Fourth of July poem began in a book called Children of Our Town that was published in 1902. When I lived on Cape Cod, July 4th meant parades with children waving flags as they walked or riding bikes decorated in red, white, & blue. This was the parade of my childhood in nw Ohio, too. Somewhere along the line, we lost that charming tradition, but it’s good to know it survives somewhere in the US. BTW… you are welcome to the illustration above. It’s just too cute to keep to myself.
Yes, I will have the Boom! Party Accessories listed in my Etsy shop before midnight! I am determined to get it done….
There’s some fun stuff to create a cohesive Fourth of July celebration in the kit like:
- Water bottle Labels
- Table Tents
- Napkin Rings
- Candy Wrappers with a small topper
- Firecracker Covers to create silly firecrackers for your tablescape
- A PDF with all the directions to create the items plus some ideas for pulling it all together.
Don’t forget that the Boom! Party Accessories kit goes right along with the Boom! Banner & Invitation. What? It’s too late to send off an invitation? Be spontaneous & go ahead, plan a last minute Fourth of July soiree with a vintage theme. In a few hours you’ll have invitations sent & all the trimmings that make parties something special.
Kinda short today, but if you’re in the US I know you’re busy getting ready for the upcoming holiday! Have a happy & safe Fourth of July!
